I just checked Truglo's website and they do not make a TFO sight for any of the USP compacts. I couldn't believe that as there are more compacts sold than full size for which they do make TFO's for. What'as a good night sight for the USP compact nine? I need to order them for my duty gun tommorrow so please respond ASAP. Thanks.

I looked into this and was told there is no difference in the dovetail on the full size vs. the compact and that they would work. Got this from the HKPRO forum. I haven't tried it yet to verify if they'll fit. I've got a friend who is supposed to come over this week and shoot his tactical - I'll measure the dovetail when he's here and compare it with my compact.

TruGlo is the outfit in Dallas/FW, right? This CRS is getting very annoying...

Ayway, if they ARE the outfit in Dallas, I called them regarding fiber optic sights. I was told the frontsight base IS different in size, and the HEIGHT of the rear sight is different; which is the reason regular USP sights won't work on the Compact properly.

The guy said they were planning to produce USPc sights, but it would probably be next year.

I use the same sized Meps in my USP45f and USP45c. Go figure. Trust HKPro.com in reference to anything HK.

They don't list TFOs for the Tactical either -- but the ones for the USPf work just fine on one of mine...as long as you don't intend to use the gun with a can.

My neighbor called and said he was coming over to bring me some tomatoes from his garden and I asked him to bring over his tactical and full size H&K, I have the compact here. I measured the dovetail this morning on the tactical, compact and full size. Full size and tactical are the same size - sights should be interchangable between them. The compact is about 30 thousands smaller, I didn't bother to write down the numbers.

Unless HK has changed something the dovetail for the Compact is smaller than for the Fullsized. That being said, any sight made for the Fullsized can be fitted for the compact without a lot of trouble. But not the other way around. Compact sights on a fullsized would be very loose and would probably fall right off. But if it fits the Fullsized... it can be fitted to the Compact.
