My family bought my brother the 360 for Christmas last year (I know, the first run always has problems but they didn't listen) and now he's having problems with it crashing after a few minutes. Microsoft said it was probably overheating but didn't give him any solutions. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have had THIS (link) (http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=802205) on my 360 since day one, and I have had no overheating problems.

Well, this is all new to me. If the 360 has heat issues, doesn't it have an internal fan?? Also, where have you put your 360? Is it on top of a hot TV? Or buried in the entertainment center where there is no air circulation?

Thanks zzzarkt! That looks like it might be the solution!

Tvov,
It does have a fan, albeit a weak one. The 360 is on a wooden shelf open to both sides with about 6 inches of space above it, I can't imagine any normal system having a problem with it.

IIRC, I saw somewhere that people were suspending the powercord(making sure to get the powerbox off the ground) in the air and it was solving the problem.

I also have the intercooler that is linked above and it was worked for me.

kswiss2783, I'll give that a try too, thanks
