I am getting this upper in trade here in a couple days.... I dont know what sights/optic to put on it. Its a LMT flat top upper with a 16" LMT barrel.
I have about $400 right now...should I go with Iron sights for the time being and when I get more $$$ get a good scope or should I try a Super Sniper scope?

What are your intentions w/ the upper? That is almost enough cash to get an EOTech 512 with front and rear iron sights. Another option would be to get a good variable 1-4x scope, but they can be spendy.

I already have a M4 with an Eo on it...I was thinking of an SPR type of build with this one.

Save your pennies.

If you seriously want an SPR type rifle, they tend to be long barreled.

But a variable Leupold of the new Mark 4 (?) sorry mind fuzzy....that should be the name series, that's basically a milspec scope, is the type developed for that sort of use, and will withstand a real pounding.

Or a Vari-X III. Say a 2-7X.

The CQT 1-3X variable is a possibility as well, works as a dot or a scope at the same time.
For the BIG BUCKS you could get an ACOG.

SPR's usually have a 18" barrel.

I dont know if I would get the same type of accuracy out of the 16" barrel thats on this upper ... thats why I am questioning the optics.

Barrel length has nothing to do with accuracy.
