TFO's on the G30 [Archive]

Just purchased a new G30 at the Gun Show this past weekend and on the way out I had a set of TruGlo TFO's installed. I have had these sights on other guns and I really like 'em. They really do improve the sight picture for me in any lighting condition and don't look bad either. Will post a pic or two if anyone else is contemplating putting them on the G30.

Cool, thanks for the pics. I have been thinking about using a TFO front sight with my Meprolight rear on my G20. Problem, I cant seem to locate a TFO FS only. They are probably only sold as a set.

The TFO's look great! I am thinking about getting some on my glock 30 also. I will look for some at the next gun show. How much did you pay for the TFO sights? Was the installation free? Is there a better deal on the internet?

I have TFOs installed my G29. I love them as well and I am contemplating replacing the Trijicons on my G30 for a second set of TFOs.

I cannot get over how much sight radius is lost with those sights.

I'll admit they ARE bright, though.

I really like XS Sights standard dots,with big dots coming in second.If they wasn't available I'd buy the TFO's though.Very good idea.I'm surprised someone hasn't copied them yet.

I bought the TFO fronts directly from the manufacturer. I think they charged me $35 each. I used them with a race cut Heinie rear. I used them for about 6 mos but eventually went back to the regular Heinie front. Other than shooting a little low for me (they had the exact same height as the Heinie front, go figure)I had no real issues but just "liked" the Heinie a little better.

I have a set of the TFO's on my 30 right now. I really like them. My only beef was the straight FO's they replaced had a different colored front sight that jumped out at me more (red). Durabilty has been great, and they are BRIGHT. The FO's were a little bit brighter in daylight, but the TFO's are a lot brighter at night.

I had a set of XS Big dot night sights and didn't like them very much. My groups opened up quite a bit with them. I think it's due to the aiming method they use for closer ranges.
