I have been thinking about trying some meprolight night sights on my G21. I have heard a lot about Mepro front sights comming loose.

Does anyone know which setup this happones to? Front sight staked or screwed?

My 3rd Gen G21 has OEM Meps, with a staked-on front sight that has stayed put over 6500-rounds.

I do not holster this gun, and that may make some difference...

I have Mepro fixed night sights on several of my Glocks (including a G21). If the screw-on is Loc-Tited, I don't see much chance of it coming loose and haven't heard of this happening more frequently with Mepros than any other screw-attached front sight.

I recently installed a set of mepro nightsights on my 3rd gen G21. I've only put around 700 rounds through it since installation [1.5 weeks ago], but I don't forsee having any problems with it. I used blue loctite on the front sight to secure the screw. It was worth every penny.

I have a screwed on front sight. It came loose in about 150 rounds. I had the guy at the shop who put them on put a little loc tite on it and 500 rounds later its still solid. P.S. the meps are great!

yep, loctite is required. I can't remember what Number Type of Loctite they recommend off hand. But I like my Meps, it was easy to install with a sight pusher.

All you need is a drop of red loctite on the threads. Let it cure 24 hours before shooting.
