View Full Version : Heinie Slantpro Installation
I am considering Heinie Slantpro sights for my Glock 36 and was wondering if these sights are a friction fit and need to be installed using a sight pusher or do they rely on the set screw to hold them in place in which case they can be installed with minimal force? Thanks for the help!

You can pound them in with a non-maring punch although a sight pusher will be much easier. They are not meant to be easily slide in place although once installed, they have a set screw to hold the position.
Thanks for the advice!
One more question...I am considering the MGW sight pusher made for straight sights, will it also work with sloped sights?
I used the straight one on my slanted rear sights. You need a file to file them down, otherwise you could break them. They are friction fit, but I had to file down the part of the sight that slides into the groove. Just take a little off at a time then the sight will finally slide right in.
Unless recently added, Heinies for Glocks have no set screw. Just oil the edges of the rear sight before installing.

The set-screw was added to Heinies for Glocks. Their web site notes the addition also.
Thanks for the update.
