cleaning firing pin channel?

Hi all,

Is it as important to clean the firing pin channel and keep it absolutely clear of any oil on a Kahr as it is for a Glock?

I keep my Kahr firing pin/striker channel(s) clean & dry (It just makes sense to me.), but know for sure that Kahr actually recommends a light oiling of their firing pin/striker channels.

I clean mine with a cleaner/lubricant every 500 or so rounds. Don't know if it realy needs it or not, but it seemed to be a good idea, as long as you go with a thin lube, especially for the colder months.
