and one more ... just for people to see why the Nill grips are just the best out there..... you can not see that those are 2 seperate pannels except where the grain is different on the smoth part

Uncut, Man that is nice !! Does the Nill Grips make it " fatter " verses the stock grips ?

I would like to get mine refinished someday. Hell I haven't even shot it yet !

OMG you need to take it to the range.........it's such a sweet shooter....
and yes the Grips are a bit wider compared to the original ones...they are pretty flat.....but it is just the right amount for my hands... I love them .. the P5 and Nills are perfect for each other...they have like a little "palmswell" if that is the right word for it.....
I do have apic with some of my other Walthers too where the orfifinal grips are still on

I purchase a NIB P5 and put Nills on it and is it sweet. No need for me to post pics, since I don't have the camera to do so, because it looks just like Uncut's. And he gets honorable mention because he sent me some excellent instructions on how to help fit my grips.
Both the gun and that guy are great in my book.

Thanks Jake.....

and yes since Jake brought it up ... the Nills did require some fitting on the inside... but not much.......was easy and painless...

if anybody wants the pics.... and some instruction... I got it ducumented in some pics.....

Yeah, I got one!!
In fact, I just bought a holster for it off of e-bay. Mr. Uncut says it's left handed, but judging from the pic, I'm not sure!! Anyway, it does not matter because I'm ambidextrous. Here's the pistol.

Here's the holster.

Surplus P1 from wwwimpactgun.com a couple of years ago..

Surplus P5 from wwwsouthernohiogun.com last week..

P1 "as new"
P5 "holster wear", but sharp rifling, and shoots sweet and poa...

My Bianchi #5 (Glock 17) thumb snap holster fits it perfectly....

Hard to beat a Walther.....

Ok let me explain why I think it is a lefthanded holster (now that I see the pics again.... I just went by memory since I seen the auction on ebay some months back) .... look at the pics of the holster .... the lether flap that protects your P5 slide from sweat and what not goes against your body, right. Also look at the belt loops to get different cants......
It is just my observation from the pics that I had months back when I first saw that auction on ebay .... the seller could not confirm since he dind't know much about the holster......
All I know is that the holster was for auction on ebay... and it was there for a steal..... if it still was listed for the same price you got a great holster for not much money.... and if you shoot lefthanded it's even better.....if not, I am sure you find somebody to pick it up without taking any losses ......

OK. Here is why I think it's a right handed holster.
Look at the second picture. In this I'm assuming that the lettering goes next to the body. That is conventional on all holsters I have seen.

Now abstractly lift the holster out of the picture (add back the third dimension) and place it on your left hip. You will see that the gun is pointing the wrong way!! Now do the same thing, only put on your right hip. Perfection!! It's a RH holster. The flap you thought was to be a sweat band is to protect the hammer from knocking into things!! The Brit version of a thumb break, I suppose!!

Well
I guess no agreeance on the holster... wasn't there a 3rd pic of the holster when it was on auction... do you still have it ???
If so post it please

Uncut,
I just proved this to be a right handed holster. It involves pics that I posted on the waltherforum site. Briefly, your confusion sprang from a misconception of the flap. It's supposed to be in the front!! ;)

I don't have a P-5 but I do have a P-5C and it is the best gun I've ever had.
