I need to check in here more often. I have been tending to hit the Lone Star Glockers, Ruger Forum, and Wheelhouse, and not much else here lately.

Some of us were born to use the right hand...some were born to use the proper hand.

My aunt is a lefty and she used to make me sit on my hand and practice everything with my right hand. This went on for years and years as a kid.

She said life would be easier for me as a right-handed person.

All she did was make me ambidextrous.

I remember once in Coast Guard Basic (Governors Island, 1980) the M16 instructor said my left-handed prone shooting was unsafe, so he had me shoot right handed.

Easy course, I still shot expert.

My parents did the same thing to me, with the same results.

I have a Brother who is left handed, a sister that is left handed, my mother is a lefty and my father is wrong handed. My father taught all of us to shoot and to shoot quite well. The way I see it he is the odd one.

I had a similar situation in the military. They tried to make everyone shoot right handed. But being stubborn, left handed, and already a trained shooter, I prevailed. Really pissed them off when I won that little hunk of metal to hang on my blouse.

I'm the only one in the family that is a lefty. All the others are wrong handed.
