So I am falling to the power of the Dark Side! I will be picking up a USP 9MM in about 2 weeks and am now looking at a P7M8. The question I have is.. Is H&K not going to make any after this year? If so what is an "average" price on one of these?
The current AG (06 models) are supposed to be the last of the last. That is until the next "special edition" comes out though.
Bachman and M L security products have the new ones for $1350 right now. That's the best price you'll find a NIB P7M8 for. If you go used, they will start around $1000 depending on condition.

Please explain "special edition" for me. Does that mean there will be more, or something else?
All I have to say is get one if you want one. I got one a couple weeks ago and love it.
I am now pondering about passing on buying a 1911 with my tax return for a P7M13.
Damn right.... they are worth every penny....
I traded my AB for a AG due to non matching serial# box on my AB P7
There is never a last batch.... there is still M13's going to Canada... so not even those are out of production.....
also as I mentioned on another board.... P7's are still used by German Police (Bavaria i know for sure)... so sooner or later there will be more refurbs coming to this country... unless H&K decides to sell them to some 3rd world country.....

There has been a run of 500 P7M8's that were a special edition... they called them "Jubilee" they came in a presentation box with a coin....
So some think H&K is going to do another one that says last "1 of 500"

I'll take all the regular ones so I can save money and not feel bad when I shoot and/or carry it. ;)
I shot mine some more today. Man, I LOVE this gun. A friend that does not have any guns of his own (yet), but likes shooting shot it today too. He kept talking about how "badass" it was even though he was also shooting a Glock 20 with full power 10mm rounds. I think I he liked how the P7 just naturally puts the rounds where you want them no matter how quickly you shoot it.

Seeing as how I am new to the P7 line... Are there any other calibers? If so what are the model numbers? Thanks!

P7M8 = single stack 9mm (8+1 rounds)
P7M13 = double stack 9mm (13+1 rounds)
P7M10 = doublestack .40S&W (10+1 rounds)
P7K3 = single stack .380, .32, .22 (they had conversion kits for it)
PSP = P7M8 except it has a heel mag release and smaller trigger guard without a heat shield. These are the police duty gun style and are generally the least valuable (usually $700-$800). It is still a P7 though and I hear they shoot just as well. I just prefer the regular mag release and the bigger trigger guard w/ heatshield of the M8.
They had a .45 that never left the development phase, so basically they do not exist, or at least no one can buy one.

Actually, they are not in production anymore. They just shipped the last 1,500 from their inventory in Germany, those were produced last year. Once they dry up, expect prices to go even higher as was the case with the P7M13 and the P7M10. Magazines are scarce as well, but HK will continue to produce them as well as repair parts for the P7 pistols.
I bought my P7M8 NIB earlier this year for $1,050. Prices have obviously increased on them. I have also acquired 8 more magazines for it. My reason for 10 mags isn't so much that I don't think they will be available, but more so I don't have to reload so darn many while shooting it at the range.

The P7M8's can be picked up NIB at Gunbroker.com. They all seem to be going for $1,300 and up, and all are selling. It has been no mystery that HK was going to stop production, so I imagine alot of dealers bought up as many as they could, and will resell them at higher prices. Anyway, they seem to be available, but expect to pay a premium price.
