View Full Version : Just bought my 3rd G-19, man how sweet!
I just got my 3rd Glock 19 on Friday. It is the first with night sights, and it is also has the newer frame. I cannot wait to shoot it. These 19's are soooo addictive. I think I am going to get another green framed one here very soon. That will make me 2 black and 2 green framed 19's!

Yes, I am a police officer and ALWAYS carry. I have carried the 19/23 in a Fobus for years and absolutely love it. I did just buy a 26 a couple of weeks ago and just got to shoot it last Thursday, and yes it is sure sweet! I will probably carry the 26 now as it just feels better when I am sitting in a vehicle and there seems to be no real difference in the accuracy dept comparing the 19 & 26. Kinda makes me want to get another 26 to have on as a back up.. Thanks for the props guys!
Stop Officer!
DRIVER! STEP AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE
PLACE YOUR HANDS SLOWLY ON YOUR HEAD
WALK SLOWLY BACKWARDS TOWARD ME
CAREFUL NOT TO TRIP OVER THE GLOCKS YOU JUST SPILLED OUT OF THE VEHICLE, YOUR WAISTBAND AND YOUR ANKLES...
I am detaining you for investigation of possession of too many Glocks...Ohio Vehicle Code 316.4-7

Do all glocks come with night sights? If not, are they the same as regural sights box-dot?

Have one each (G19/26) can't wait to get another pair...
Guys been thinking of getting an OD framed G34 to go along with my G19's. What do you think? Been also thinking of yet another 19 or an OD framed 23 to compliment my duty 23. Decisions, decisions, decisions?????
btw, here is a pic of my guns, Enjoy...

I'm getting either a 19 or a 23 in about a week. I can't wait. Seeing pics of the 19 are killing me. I gotta have one now.

I value your opinion here...
How would you compare the 19 to your duty 23?
Would you carry the 19 if your department allowed it?
Thanks for your input and service,
Steve
Steve, I carried a 19 for 14 months when I was a part time officer. Once I was hired full time, I was issued a SigPro in 40 cal. We were not issued the Glocks for over a year after I got the Pro. I was a big part in getting the Glocks for our dept. Funny thing is, I almost always carry a 19 off duty and not the 23. I feel fine carrying the 9mm even though the guys give me s*** over it. Then when they start making fun of the "little" 9mm bullet, I always tell them to go out about 20 feet and I will shoot them with it to which they always respond NO WAY! I dont know why, I guess they are afraid of that "little" 9mm.
All kidding aside, I love the 19/9mm combo.

Eagle1,
It sounds like the G19 is more enjoyable for you to shoot.
Thanks again,
Steve
I guess you can't have too much of a good thing, but shouldn't you have a P228 or Beretta 92 in that three G19-mix? :)

Eagle,
Ditch the Fobus and try the Blackhawk SERPA holster...amazing! I'll never buy another brand of "plastic" holster...give it a try, it's that good...I shot all my Fobus holsters to pieces...
