Does anyone make a spring to lower the trigger pull for a Ruger 77 MKII? Or do you have to re-place the whole trigger?
Trigger pull is adjusted differently on a bolt-action rifle; not like popping in a spring on a Glock. There are (or should be) set screws to adjust weight of pull, takeup, and overtravel; and those are the adjustments you need to get that sought-after 3-3.5# pull that people always say breaks like glass, and no overtravel.
There are some fine aftermarket triggers (Timney comes to mind) for the major manufacturers' bolt guns (and many lesser ones). Check Brownell's (http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/Home/default.aspx) or MidwayUSA (http://www.midwayusa.com/) for a start.
