Rifle Optics Help

I have a Savage Model 10 on order and am trying to figure out what to buy for it. Target shooting only at this time and I'm not very experienced at rifle shooting either.

My first thought was a moderately priced scope, but now am leaning toward the Bushnell Holosight as I could also use it on my AR and shotgun. Or maybe just a cheap scope to get started with ?

I put a bushnell legend on my 111. has held zero for 2 or 3 years now. not too expensive. works great and has decent light gathering.

I've never seen targst shooters, or hunters for that matter, shooting with a Holosight on a bolt action rifle. There is probably a reason for this.

Look for a moderately priced fixed power scope in 4 or 6 power. Stay away from fancy looking features like turrets and AO and such in a moderate (1-200 bucks) price as the overall quality of the scope has been reduced to pay for these features and stay in that price range.
