I wanted to relay my first impressions of my recently acquired Kahr CW9. I was initially going to get a S&W 642, but after seeing the Kahr, and feeling the trigger pull of this little gun, I was a convert. I went home that night and read some reviews and went back the next day and picked it up. In the following days I read more and more and was worried about my decision given all the problems people have had with them.
Anyway, I went to the range with an open mind this weekend and had a great time. I was expecting some hiccups with it the first time out based on the owners manual and what I'd read online - all of which claiming that it needs a good 200 round breakin period. I put just over 300 rounds through it in one sitting consisting primarily of WWB, a few hollow points, a box of 50 Mag Tech (?) (total crap), and some reloads my friend was shooting that my Sig has never been able to cycle. I had zero problems with it all day and left the range fairly pleased. I really like the trigger, though it will take some getting used to for me to get 'accurate' with it. (it seemed to want to twist in my hand) The recoil was considerable, but about what I expected from such a small light 9mm. All in all, a big thumbs up! I'm very pleased.
