When I bought my P45, it had the conventional non-tritium sights. The point of impact was consistently dead-on to the point of aim at 7-10 yards (typical self defense shooting distances).
Recently, I purchased a set of Meprolight night sights and had them professionally installed by a local gunsmith. The pistol now shoots consistently 2-3" below point of aim at the same 7-10 yard distance.
Although I like the night sight capability, I'd rather have the non-tritium sights and get point of impact back at point of aim. Since the gunsmith destroyed the original sights when he removed them to install the Mepros, I'm debating buying a new set and sending the slide back to Kahr for installation.
Anyone else had a similar experience after installation of Mepros? Would changing the rear sight to the Novak tritium have any beneficial effect?
Thanks & regards.
