View Full Version : Taking apart PM9 frame/lower
I was passing a cloth through the magazine opening up through the frame to help clean some residue off from inside.
The cloth snagged on some spring thing and now it's caught on something I don't think it's supposed to be caught on.
When pulling the trigger, it makes 2 noises... kind of creeky-clicks.
Anyways, I think I need to get into the frame to put the spring where it needs to be. Anybody know how?
Anybody know how to strip the PM9 lower?
took it into the LGS. Turns out two springs were out of place. One had gotten bent, the other was potruding beyond where it was supposed to.
Sadly, they need to send it to Kahr to be fixed. :(
I can't figure out what the spring that got bent actually does.
For those who have their manual for Kahr's DAO pistols, on the PM series diagram, the spring is part number 14, listed as "trigger bar spring".
Part number 10 - "trigger spring" got somehow moved so that the bottom pin of it pushed out into the trigger-guard.
I am nervous maybe I should call Kahr and give them the scoop before they work on it. My LGS sent it in for the repair, but I don't know if they enclosed any type of documentation of what is actually wrong with it. And I don't know if they got an RA number.
I don't want Kahr to replace any parts that don't need to be replaced. Other than the springs (one of which was my fault - the other I have no idea what happened), it's been great.
Did you recieve you pistol back? What ended up being the problem?
Yep. Here's the follow up thread:

I got a call an hour ago that the PM9 is back at the LGS after its second trip to Kahr. I didn't have the time to pick it up today but I'm hoping to drop by there tomorrow.
Maybe I'll get to the range this weekend, or if not by next weekend I should be able to go.
