View Full Version : 2 Choices, Which One??? Opinions Needed!
Wilson Combat Protector or Scott McDougall & Associates Complete Custom Colt 1991A1?
I have to sell one soon. But I have been mulling it over for weeks and I still have no idea which one to keep!
Wilson:
1. The action and all components are as smooth as silk.
2. It has a mag well and full length guide rod.
3. I shot off to the left with this one, I don’t know how adjustable the sights on it really are.
SM&A Colt:
1. I shot better with this one.
2. It has a smooth action but not as smooth as the Wilson.
3. It has SM&As top package which I will not list all of here because it would be too long.

i guess it's personal preference. I like the NRM colts but not that ORM 1991 so much. :)
Good luck either way
Keep which ever ones you like and shoot the best. After that, sell me the other one cheap..... :tongueout:

I'd keept he Colt for two reasons. First is that you shoot it better, second is that the Wilson would be easier to replace.
Short Cut, you are right the Wilson would be easier to replace and I did shoot the Colt Better. ... but those Wilsons are just so freaking smooth, built from scratch customs.

I hear ya. I've got a Wilson Tactical Elite that I'm quite fond of. It's slide to frame fit feels like greased glass. I wouldn't want to part with it, but as long as it is a currently offered model I could at least replace it if it came to that.
Tough choice, to be sure.

Thing is you know what you got but you never know what you're getting. One of the newer Wilsons might not be anywhere near as good as one made four or five years ago.

You shoot it better and I really like the de-horning and finish on the Colt. Vote top pic.
You got anything else you can sell? Wife, kid, cat maybe:shocked:
Thanks for all the help!
I have decided to keep the Colt! for all the reaasons above.
