Like most dads, I get a lot more out of watching him catch one, than catching one myself.

Well, the battery was dead on my digital scale, but I estimated the boy's to be around 3.5, and mine to be a little over 6. His was caught on a 10" black worm, and mine on a black & blue 1/2 oz spinnerbait. Both fish were suspending on steep dropoffs about 20 feet from the weedline in what used to be the river channel of this impoundment.

I was pretty close on the weight guesses...

The spot you caught those, is kind of thing the experts always point out.....near cover , and over or near the original channel...thanks for the info.
