NM Rock River 1911

does anyone have one?i was looking at one today that was at the gun shop someone owned it of course and it was tight.
I've never felt a 1911 that was this tight and it seemed very well made.I even asked the guy if i could shoot it if i give him $20 to run thru 100 rounds of my own ammo,he just laughed at me,not being an ******* or nothing he said sure.
My jaw hit the floor and i said yeah right your ****ing with me,he said if you want to shoot it do it now because i am about to leave.
The best 1911 experience i have ever had,needless to say my rock island is about to get retired to someone else and a rock river is gonna be in my possession soon.
i was just wondering if anyone else has had any experiences with this gun

Rock River 1911s are top notch as are their AR-15s which I own one of. Chuck and Mark Lawson worked for Springfield Armory before going to work for Les Baer Custom. If I remember right Les Baer ran the SA custom shop at some point while they were there. I was very close to buying a RRA EC 1911 but decided on a Baer TRS instead. They are similar 1911s and I sure I would be just as happy with the RRA. The only complaint I've heard is the bushing to slide fit is very tight on some of them.


I can remember it wasn't five or six years ago you could buy a RRA 1911 for less than $1000. Now you are looking at $1700 and up.
