View Full Version : Frame swap
I am considering getting the finger grooves removed on my G23. While the frame is away for the work, could I put my slide assembly on my wife's G19 frame, and, using G23 mags, fire .40SW ammo. Basically, are there any structural differences between the frames for G19's and G23's? Ejector differences? Oh, both frames are the 3-pin frames.
Thank you,
BarreS

BarreS, no problem using the 23 slide on the 19 frame. Might want to swap out trigger housings. The ejector on the 40SW is staight. The ejector on the 9mm is bent inwards, possibly hitting the primer on the 40SW round when unloading a live round.......Gary:)
Thank you for your informative reply.
The assumption is correct providing the G19 has a three-pin frame and you swap ejectors--both are a must.

How about between 34 and 35?
Can I install my G35 .40 s&w slide onto a G34 9mm frame, given that I WILL install a complete .40 trigger housing on the 9mm slide. Both frames have 3 pins.
