Yes we will have the G20 barrels chambered in 9x25 available in stock length, extended 2 port and six inch.

JR,
Thank you for your e-mail response. I trust that you gathered plenty of goodies during your trip to the Washington coast. ;)
Now, I need to decide on which on which gun and configuration to try out my first LWD barrel. You folks do not make it easy on us with all of your great offerings. Take that as a compliment. ;)
Oh what the heck! . . . I just placed an order, JR. I think this is the beginning of many orders to come. ;)
tinman517: Yep, I had a great time on the coast. I love shuckin' oysters. I have a pic of me and a whopper (for this beach) I coaxed out of his shell. There are MILLIONS of them all around me!

Looking good, JR. We just had an oyster/cocktail party about 2 weeks ago. I shucked over 400 Hog Island oysters that day . . . Whew!
Getting back on track here, I ordered my new extended 2 port barrel, yesterday, and today I received my delivery confirmation for this coming Thursday. You folks are the best.
Oh, yeah. Getting back on track. I believe that's the biggest oyster I've ever seen, and he has lots of friends, YUM. I called friday. Dan sent me a LWD-33357P2 for my G27. I should get it today or tomorrow. Back on track, yeah.

JR,
Received my new LWD extended 2 port barrel for my G23, today. It looks great. The fit and finish is simply awesome. Unfortunately, I will not be able to hit the range for a few days . . . Can't wait. Thank you for the very timely service.
LOL . . .You folks are terrible. You sent me a LWD catalog, as well. I'm in trouble, now.

Can't wait to try this new LWD barrel. The G23 already shoots excellently. Hmmmm . . . Could it get any better?

Excellent pics guys, great looking Glocks. Mr. BigWaylon my G27 looks similar to yours, less CrimsonTrace and grip(tube?). Mine is a .357 Sig bbl. tho. I need to learn how to post pics?
JR-sorry if this was already metioned but I skimmed through all the previous pages and may have missed it but are there any plans for a 36 barrel and/or would the barrel for a 30 work in a 36? Thanks.

JR,
I found a bit of time this morning and hit the shooting range with my G23. Fired some 50 rounds in stock configuration. Gotta love the way Glocks tracks down range right out of the box. After warming up a bit, I dropped my new LWD extended 2 port barrel in for a test drive, if you will.
I put the new barrel through some 100 rounds of ammo, for now. The LWD barrel performed flawlessly. I am quite pleased with my 21 yard groupings. I am no sharp shooter. I rarely venture beyond the 14 yard distance with my G23 . . . And as such, I was very pleasantly surprised with the results. I managed a 94 shots in a 4-1/2" circle for a tight 2-1/2" grouping and the remaining 6 shots were all in the 9 area for a nice 1-1/4" grouping.
Thank you for providing me with an affordable and spot on shooting barrel.
Just an observation but.........Man you guys and your pics would lead someone to believe you worked at LWD!
Ustate: No plans for a G36 right now. Don’t worry, I said the same thing about the G30 in December and we actually have them in stock today. If we offered a G36 I would need about 50 requests for it first and then it would be about 2 months to build it. BTW: The G30 and G36 are 2 different barrels. They will not swap out.
Tinman517: Very happy to learn the barrel shot as expected. That is a pretty good group for 21 yards. I think you shoot a little better than you let on?

LOL . . . Always room for improvement. I head out to the range once a week . . . And as such, I always attempt to go there with a purpose.
In any event, I'll be sending you good folks another order, soon. ;)

A general question, do aftermarket barrels void the Glock warranty? Thanks.
The simple answer is NO. Installing an aftermarket barrel will not void your factory warrantee however the warrantee that Glock Inc issues covers the parts they manufacture only.
You should be concerned weather the barrel manufacture (aftermarket or otherwise) offers a warrantee. FYI: Lone Wolf barrels are lifetime warranted for materials & workmanship

do requests on stock Glock porting and threading? I have a G22C. I want to use a SJC 9mm 5 port comp with a 40 to 9mm LW extended barrel for competition. KKM wants $270 just for the barrel and threading. lol

Got my 40-9 and G17 mag for my G22 on Friday in the mail and took it shooting this Sunday.
Dropped in and ran 100% flawless with all 200 rounds of WWB 9mm.
Very cool.
I dont know why I waited this long to get it. Now I need to order some more mags for it.
LWD just saved me from spending another $400+ on another gun.
Thanks LWD!

LW does them.
Search "show me your custom G19" or "laser engraving"
Hey JR, I've noticed lately a few people looking for extended barrels for the Glock compacts. I've been asking for an extended barrel for a G32. With the Sub-Compacts, and service sized pistols all you have to do is drop in the longer barrel from the next bigger sized Glock. Even the Tactical/Practical models have 6" hunting barrels available. The compact models are kind of orphaned. Any plans to offer un-ported or un-threaded extended barrels for the compacts? seems all you would have to do is drop a step in the manufacturing process.
Any chance you have some cheap rejects that accidentally got thru without the ports or threads? ;)

Not a big poster but wanted to drop a note thanking Lone Wolf for excellent service and an excellent product.
I wanted to convert my G23 to 9mm and was all set to order the Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel and all the other little bits that I thought was necessary from various posts.
After I placed my order Dan called me and went through my order piece by piece. He recommended purchasing just the 40-9 conversion barrel and seeing how the gun ran. If it didn't run perfectly and if I needed the parts he offered to waive the shipping for the second package!
The gun runs like a champ with the .40cal extractor, ejector, firing pin and spring loaded bearing. Not a single failure to feed, fire, or eject. The black finish on the Lone Wolf 40-9 threaded barrel looks great even after several hundred rounds.
Dan saved me from spending $$$ on parts that I didn't need. I spent the $$$ I saved on The Complete Glock Reference Guide and a few miscellaneous parts.
Thanks!

Really?? I bought one recently also for my G32. I haven't shot it yet, but the finish is very inconsistant. Part is shiny and part is dull. Looks real cloudy. Are you saying that yours is perfectly black and even? I have heard that SS is hard to make black. I thought mine was just the best it could be.

Felt a little sticky when I first got it. Wiped it with a little Hoppes 9 and ran some patches through it. Some of the "excess" black came off, but the finish was still even. Lubed it lightly with a little CLP on a patch, which also seemed to go on pretty evenly.
I jumped in the car to get to the range. I borrowed a G19 mag from the rangemaster and dropped a few hundred rounds through it for function testing and accuracy.
Took it apart and lightly lubed it again. Still looks new to me, compared to my OEM G23 barrel.
I'm happy with my LWD 40-9 barrel. It shoots great and looks good.
I used to wear my G23 daily and it isn't a safe queen, but I'll get the slide refinished at some point.

So many nice barrels... and none for the Glock 37!
:crying:
The stock barrel is great but I'd love to have a .40 S&W conversion barrel.
FYI: We will be introducing threaded barrels for the 31,32,33,34,35. Watch for them to arrive mid September.

No picture, but the threaded barrel is 4.65" long. With a thread protector screwed on the barrel sticks out just under .80" past the slide. I beleive JR is making the barrels shorter now though. Something to do with his new Compensator.

JR, what thread size/pitch will you be using for the 357 barrels?
Kengps: The 357 Sig is actually a 9mm. It will use the standard 1/2 x 28 thread pitch common for most 9mm pistols.
William_h: Here is a pic with our old style (slightly longer) threaded barrel. It is a G23 40 S&W with the new prototype comp.

I just took mine to the range yesterday its a 9mm conversion for the Glock 23(mines a 2nd gen). It worked great and looks good also..shot about 75 rounds through it before I got told its time to go by wife and kid :) . Ran perfect no problems at all this was using WWB 115 grain rounds.

JR- any ideas when you went from the old longer length to new shorter? I think I have a longer barrel and wouldn't mind picking up a shorter one- less gap between shoulder and slide.
JR,
What is the longest advisable .40-9mm barrel? I would like to buy a barrel and a couple of G17 magazines from you, but would like a longer ported barrel. Thanks.
William_h: sorry, no Sig barrels for now.
Chakup: All the current LWD barrels will have the new short length (-.140 shorter), class 2A threads (tighter threads) and the accessory cut on the underside. These improvements will not make any difference to the majority of our customers shooters but a huge difference to those that demand them.
Srben: The longest 40/9 conversion barrel we offer is the G24-9. This barrel will fit your G22 pistol. Unfortunately it is not currently available in threaded. We actually have them being manufactured now, expect them to arrive in 6 weeks.
That's o.k., I'm not really looking for threaded so much as ported....I want to get a .40 to 9mm conversion with a long barrel and porting. What's the best shootable model for that?
We can custom port any barrel for you. I recommend you call Dan at 208-437-0612 ext 100
(may as well get engraved while your at it!)

I just got my G23 .40 barrel the other day.
And the machining & fit looks great
But the more I look at that Logo the less I like it
I think I will give JR a call when they open and see if I can return it for a non marked one or one with just .40 S&W on it.
Haven't installed this one seeing how I don't even get my G23 for several more days.

Hey guys just thought I'd chime in with this. I just ordered a stock blind marked barrel for my g35 on Friday and it came in today, Very fast service. The machining looks to be top notch, and I like the stealthy logo underneath the chamber. Very nice looking barrel, hopefully I'll get to shoot some rounds through it tomorrow. I'll definitely be getting more soon.

Later I will be ordering the 40-9 conversion.
Great Customer Service
I'm going to buy a LW 40-9 for my G27, but I too will get the stealth barrel. I love the product, but don't care much for the big logo on my gun. I'll gladly tell anyone about the great product though.

You can order any LWD barrel without the logo. All you have to do is mention it in the comment section when you place your order OR tell the sales person thats how you want it.

Most all the black barrels are blind marked. We do have a few with the logo. If you do not want the logo on any barrel all you need to do is request it "blind marked" when you place the order.

JR,
I recently placed my first ever order with LWD. I ordered a LWD barrel and an OEM Glock barrel. The LWD barrel arrived in just a few days.... very good service... but the Glock barrel was backordered. After 2 weeks with no word, I called LWD and was told that they were waiting on Glock and it could be 6-8 weeks before my order is filled.
I commented to the LWD rep that the barrel was shown on their website and he said that if it were out of stock, that would have been noted on the website (it wasn't). He just blew me off and asked if there was something else he could help me with.
i have never been treated like that by any gun company and I have to say I was pissed. LWD is telling me I have to wait more than two months for a barrel that was advertised on your website.
If LWD refunded my shipping costs, I could order the barrel cheaper and faster from another company. I don't like being charged shipping for a barrel I didn't receive.
WinstonSmith: I guess I need to address a couple issues. First off, I am sorry about the BO status of the OEM barrel. The truth of the matter is, we have no control over Glock Inc. I have dealt with this company from the very beginning and will let you in on a little insider secrete. They deliver what they want, when they want and you had better kiss their butt when they finally come through. On their BEST day they suck! They will never tell you what is in stock, what is back ordered or what is expected to ship. You simply give them your money and hope the order arrives in 6 to 8 weeks.
Second, LWD features all products on our web site. When you looked up the OEM barrel did you notice the little stop light above the price? If the stop light is green the product is in stock. If it is yellow we have a limited inventory on hand. It could be sold out at any moment. If it is red obviously we are out of stock. What color was the light when you placed your order?
Third, I was not in on your conversation with our sales representative. From what I gather in your post there is nothing wrong with what he told you. The barrel could be 6 to 8 weeks BO or it could arrive tomorrow. It’s a Glock part, we have no idea what they are going to deliver. Maybe he was a little forward when he explained the situation and you mistook it for rudeness?
Forth, We never pre-charge for any product. When we ship your order you are charged for the product contained in that package and shipping of that package. If a part is BO we do not EVER charge for it. When the part finally does arrive we charge you at that time and then we ship it to you FREE of charge. We do this because we appreciate your patience concerning a situation we have no control over.
What I recommend you do now is try to locate the barrel you want. If and when you find one in stock, place your order with that company immediately. Then contact LWD via phone or email and cancel the back order.
If you feel this situation should have been handled differently please let me know.

First, thanks for your courteous reply. I'm sure you are right about Glock, but that should never be YOUR customers problem. Nobody forces you to sell Glock barrels... and you could keep a larger inventory to avoid running out. It's none of my business how you run your business... until it impacts me.

Hmm. No I didn't notice the stop sign. I guess I was too excited about ordering the barrels. A simple "out of stock" message might be more effective.... but again, it's your business. I'll watch for the stop sign next time I place an order with LWD.
Third, I was not in on your conversation with our sales representative. From what I gather in your post there is nothing wrong with what he told you. It is certainly possible that I misread the intent of the LWD rep. I was irritated by his argument that the problem was Glock's fault. LWD is responsible for what is offered on the website and for maintaining adequate inventory. But I guess I am responsible for reading that website accurately, which I didn't. So I apologize.
Forth, We never pre-charge for any product. When we ship your order you are charged for the product contained in that package and shipping of that package. I was not pre-charged for the BOed barrel but I was charged the full shipping charge. It is possible that the shipping charge is the same for one barrel or two. If that is the case, I was wrong.
What I recommend you do now is try to locate the barrel you want. If and when you find one in stock, place your order with that company immediately. Then contact LWD via phone or email and cancel the back order.
If you feel this situation should have been handled differently please let me know.
No, in retrospect I probably over-reacted. But by way of customer feedback, I can tell you that it doesn't help to blame a problem on a supplier. I recently ordered a Sprinco recoil spring and after about a month was told that a machine shop had gone on vacation so they couldn't deliver my product. That sort of thing is the responsibility of the company itself. I don't want to deal with your suppliers or even have to think about your suppliers. But in this case it looks like I should have noticed the "out of stock" indicator.
Again, thanks for your detailed response. I will be placing more orders with LWD in the future.

I ordered a 9mm ported barrel for my G22 along with a couple G17 17rd mags on friday. Can't wait to get them and take it to the range
All LWD threaded barrels are currently on hold while we have Gemtech and AAC verify our new plug gauges. We expect them to sign off this week. The barrel runs will fire up the next day. Barrel priority will be dictated by back order status but I would guess no more than 4 weeks for all of them. We will have the 34/35 & 17L/24 threaded barrels before we have the slides.

lol - as an owner of a web development company specializing in ecommerce; I applaud your intentions on the traffic light stock system indicator. Might I suggest that you use the words instead of the traffic lights though? I had no idea what they meant when I ordered items. Using firefox I didn't see the alt-text, which now I know what it means, makes a lot of sense... I don't see any explanations on order info pages either.
One thing we have learned in more than a decade of building ecommerce sites - clever ideas used to convey subtle difference like a stock indicator often fall flat - simple is almost ALWAYS better - e.g.
3 buttons with text would be preferable than traffic lights:
In Stock
Low Stock
Backordered
You can color code them, but I think it would be clearer than the traffic lights to most people.
Just trying to help...

Any plans for a 357SIG barrel for a G27?

Yes we currently offer G33 357 Sig barrels in stock length & extended 2 port. These barrels will drop right into your G27 pistol.
We will soon have the G32 barrel in the G31 length. This barrel will also drop right into your G27 pistol.

Lone Wolf's G17 compensated barrel looks interesting to use on a fun range gun. Does anyone know if the compensator "ports" actually do a decent job of compensating for muzzle rise/flip or is it just for "looks"?
That said, Glock's compensated models seem to have the ports cut behind the muzzle end. How does this compare to Lone Wolf's compensated barrels?
Should I try a longer barrel on my Glock 17?
Just ordered a LWD Barrel M/19 9mm Stock Length. A while back I was going to get a G17, but that changed the other day with the purchase of a LE / MIL G19. I have to say that I like dealing with JR - who answered my many questions in a timely manner. I did read through all 14 pages and see that LWD has come a long way. The web site is very nice and works with firefox no problem.

I spoke with Dan today about an extended barrel with ports for my G34.... I just wish I could get the extended barrel, but only have the 4 port on the inside of the slide, leaving the extension unported....
Can they do that?
thanks
