View Full Version : 92FS "Sticks"
Just a quick question... if I pull the slide back, and let it return forward at a moderate or slow speed, the slide will "stick" about 3mm before the fully-forward position (with the hammer still in the cocked position). The only want to have the slide return to the full forward position is to let the slide go completely (I know this is normal procedure anyhow, I am attempting to determine if this indicates a problem, I bought it used).
Is this normal operation?

Normal operation. Most but not all semiautomatic pistols do that.

+1 but that should be for locking breach semi-autos
That is where the barrel is locking up with the slide.
Thanks. All my other pistols are DAO and do not have this issue. Glad to hear it's normal.

Let me guess, this only happens when you do this proceedure with the safety lever in the safe position.Try it with the safety off. What's happening is the gun is trying to decock it's self and the slide is resting against the lever that does that function.
