Does anyone have a photo of a USP compact 40/9 compared or next to a Glock 19/23/32?
I did, but cannot seem to locate them just now.
I can give you my observations, as I own two G19s, a friend has the USPc in .40 S&W (LEM trigger), and I purchased a USPc in .45 as a result of comparing the USPc .40 and the G19.
The USPc is thicker through the slide; noticeably so, but not objectionably so. IF the USPc has a flat base plate magazine, then all other dimensions are, for all practical purposes, the same. IOW, either will conceal with the same degree of ease or difficulty, depending upon your situation.
The .45 has a bit more "length" in the grip, to accomodate the slightly linger .45 ACP cartridge, but again is almost dimensionally identical to a G19 except through the width of the slide. I had been carrying a G19 professionally for many years; when I decided to go back to a big bullet, the HK USP Compact in .45 was a natural choice. Other than procuring the appropriate holster and mag pouches, I have not modified my carry mode or dress in any manner from when I employed the G19.
The smaller one (.40 S&W/9mm caliber) actually fits my hand a bit better, but I'm doing quite well with the .45 and see no need to change anything. This pistol is an absolute joy; easy to shoot, easy to carry, easy to clean, etc. I could carry .40 S&W if I so chose, but I have simply never liked that cartridge.
Be aware that the finger extension magazine baseplates which come with these guns (in all calibers) do indeed impair the concealibility, by lengthening the butt. Flat base plates are available, and you should get at least one if you intend to carry the piece concealed.
Hope that answered some of your questions.
.
I've got some of the P2000sk and the G27 - but that doesn't help you much!
here's some old photos, not exactly side by side, but i don't own either of these anymore. my brother has the HK now and a co-worker has the Glock.
