View Full Version : Glock 19 vs HK P2000
I currently carry a Glock 19 and have been toying with the idea of a P2000. A friend purchased one (lives in another state) and has been telling me how I should sell all my Glocks and go HK.
Anyone carry a P2000 daily? They carry well? (I carry everything in a milt sparks Versa Max II)
How do they compare with a G19? Do you like the LEM trigger? Best price to purchase? Will a surefire light work on the HK P2000 rail? Any and all info would be helpful, this might be a present from Santa, :)

I have both and while I do not have a problem with the P2000 (comp-tac shirt tucker IWB), my G19 conceals easier. If you get a P2000 I would find some flat baseplates for it which will help with concealment.
I can't comment on the LEM trigger as mine is a V.3 DA/SA. You can't go wrong with the HK, but having several of them I can't say they are any better than the Glock, just different.
Personally I find myself leaning to the G19/23/32 guns as being the best fun for concealed carry, but to each his own.
The HK can't do anything your 19 can't do for $200 less, with a better trigger.
I think if you like the shorter Glock trigger with quick reset, you won't like the looooooooooong LEM trigger & reset.
Glock has better customer service should you need them too.

im more accurate with the HK, but not much. i have a usp fullsize 9mm, which has a little less recoil then the usp compact/p2000 9mm. but will give you a good idea if you like the platform or not. so if you wanna go shoot, let me know. board member jmg has a usp compact, i cant speak for him, but i bet he would let you shoot it. i shoot the compact/p2000 as well as i shoot the fullsize. they either fit you or they dont. the glocks are more resistent to rust if you sweat on them.

I used to carry the Glock 19 and HK USP Compact .357 daily. Whichever fit my clothing better is what I carried.
But I got tired of having to switch around and make sure my mags all fit, so I got rid of the 19 and USP-C and got the P2000 in .357 when they came out. It's been great for me, easily concealed, no probs. Sometimes I do miss my Glock and USP Compact and will have to schedule visits with them from time to time.
I made sure I got visitation rights when I sold them and the option to be the first to buy them back if they don't want them anymore...
But I'm leaning towards getting the P2000SK to complement my P2000. Figured, one mag system is easier. I was carrying the USP-C and P2000 alternating since the mags all fit, but when my brother wanted the USP-C, I sold it to him.
Was the Glock 19 easier to carry or the P2000? I like the feel of the P2000 and really like the mag release postion, but it feels a little heavier. Any and all info would be helpful.
the 19 was easier in the sense that it was lighter and had more holsters available, but I like the feel of the P2000 more.
I own the P2000 and my father has a G19. I have shot both and holstered both. The G19 may be a tad bit lighter, but I would rather carry the P2000. I just shoot the gun better and feel more confident with it. The actual difference may be slight. User preference prevails!
