View Full Version : Well, whaddya know?
Just pulled my copy of America's 1st Freedom from the mailbox, and what's on the inside front cover?
A full page ad from GLOCK for the G37, G38 and G39 proclaiming "Size Does Matter".
Nice.

Gun magazines are the only magazines I actually look at the ads. Okay, I do look at most of the ads in car magazines too. However, in gun magazines, I normally have something in my collection that "could" benefit from the product in the magazine ad. Doesn't meen I'll buy it, but it doesn't hurt to shop around and see whats out in the market. Plus, I love all the gun porn in gun magazine ads!!
In some magazines, GAP gets the inside front page (same ad above). I've also seen a small ad in the back of Combat Handguns for the GAP lineup ("Not Your Daddy's .45"). I don't see the full-page ad for the G-37 anymore. Any publicity is good publicity for the GAP! I'd like to see some billboards, or even a HUGE RV, or bus, with the GAP lineup on the side! Maybe even some national running TV commercials (Super Bowl?). TV commercial wise, you could do a Goldilocks and the Three Bears (Too big, too small, just right!!)!
This is the first GAP advertisement I have ever seen; I don't read the gun magazines, though.
That's why I thought it was noteworthy.
I got the full page for the Not your daddys 45. It was on the back side of a front cover(I believe) of a gun magazine I have.
I knew it!
My wife has been telling me size doesn't matter for years but I always suspected she was just being nice :frown:

Does anyone know how to get the slide like that color. It looks good in the picture.
What you're seeing is a lighting effect.
They're not really that color; nor is there that much difference between the slide and lower color.
D'oh!!
Question for ya Tampico...Have you found it easy to get GAP ammo?
It is easy to get ammo online, with offerings from Speer, Federal, Winchester, Remington, Cor-Bon and Double Tap.
I usually buy ammo from Sportsmans Warehouse.
It has gone up (like all ammo) recently, but they always have it in stock.
You can find it online easily also.
