Anyone use G 21 mags with sleeve in their G 30? How do you like the set up? Does it change the feel of the grip much? I'm considering it for when my G 30 is at home. Thanks
I plan to get some of those A&G grip extenders at some point, but I carry a G21 mag for backup. I have shot it with it just hanging out and it feels good and I think it actually helps my accuracy.
I use them at the range quite a bit, and I keep a spare G21 mag with an A&G sleeve on it on my belt, but I do not carry the pistol with a G21 mag in it. It's just too long for me to conceal that way...
It does change the feel of the grip in that it makes it easier to handle, IMO, but you'll just have to try it for yourself and see if you like it.
Good luck.

Thanks, Rob. I carry it with the 10 rd mag. The G 21 mag. will just be for when it's in the nightstand.
For one handed shooting, I prefer the 10rd mag with a finger extension. For two handed shooting, the longer mag (with or without the sleeve) allows for a little better grip.
If you are going to use a G21 mag without a sleeve as a back-up, I'd suggest firing a few full mags from slide-lock to make sure they are fully reliable. On occasion, some G21 mags have enough front to back "slop" to cause occasional mis-feeds. I have 2 G30s and 1 of them will occasionally mis-feed 2 of my 10 G21 mags unless it has a sleeve attached. It doesn't happen all the time, but enough so that I wouldn't trust as a back-up unless a sleeve is on it. Actually, I don't use them as a back-up for my 30 at all.

Kpblade, thanks for the heads-up.
I don't use one for my G30 on account of the grip plug I have on it. I do however have a G20 mag with the A&G sleeve on it for my G29. I personally don't care for that setup much but as a nightstand/back up I like the idea of the extra 5 rounds I get from the G20 magazine. Buy one setup and try it. If anything you can sell the setup here for almost if not exactly as much as you paid for.
