Guys,
I know this is GT and all but I want to spread the love :hugs:
I am planning on starting up some 0-400yd rifle matches in Feb/March 07. Basically this will be a precision rifle match with targets no smaller than 2 MOA.
I also plan on doing a class first for any one that wants to start shooting matches but has never done so. This class will cover the basics of marksmanship, prone, sitting, standing. All of the Mil-Dot stuff, DOPE out to 400yds and a short match to get you use to how my matches will run. With a max size of 10 people per-class with handouts so you can study at home before matches and when you are in the learning mood ;)
The fees will be as low as I can go and still pay the bills. I am shooting for $20 per person for a match with a round count over 40 rounds. The Basic class will be $75 for 8 hours of instruction.
The land we will be using is in Hillsborough NC. Just south of Durham on I-85 and west of Chapel Hill on I-40, here are some pictures of the section of the farm we can use.

so this will be a great time to bring out the AR’s or the bolt guns. Just make sure you have a non-laser range finder way to get the range of these targets. I will have them as unknown distance and no LRF allowed.
