I sold my SIG P220R and bought a new Armory USA SSR-85C-2 with black furniture. The bad thing is, I am probably selling my WASR-10 to a fellow co-worker and I now have to buy a folding stock for the SSR so it will fit into the rifle case. I will try to get pictures up as soon as I get it set up the way I want it.
Update: I just got bad news from my co-worker, he is going to order him a WASR instead of buying mine. Darn, now I will have three AKs.
Now you only have three?? But they come in 6 calibers!!
You are short a few.

I am not crazy about the 5.45 and .223 models. 7.62 for me. The next one I plan on getting is a Yugo M70B1 (fixed stock) to go with the Yugo M70AB2 underfolder I have. It is a toss up though. Do I get another AR first (only have two) or do I get another AK?

Get a Saiga .308, you won't be disappointed especially now that the US-made 20-round mags are a reality.

Get another AK! There is no telling how much longer they will be available. I have a SSR-85C-2 with the blond Bulgarian wood furniture and I love it. No problems and very well made. Looking at a Yugo m70 underfolder and thinking about it. Do you like yours? I handled one locally and it sure feels sweet. Heard they are outstanding models of the AK-47. Carl

I do like my Yugo M70AB2 underfolder. It is very well built, has a great fit and finish, and shoots well to boot. One of the best AKs you can buy! I took my SSR-85C-2 to the range yesterday. At 50 yds (sighting in range for me), I had to make several elevation adjustments. It was shooting about a foot too high and to the right about four inches. I got the elevation corrected, but I still need to correct the windage. I do like the trigger action. Very smooth and light. I am now forced to buy the sight adjustment tool. I did not need to adjust anything on my Yugo and only a tad bit of elevation on my Romy. I also took my RRA/STAG M4gery builf d out there to zero the new Aimpoint Comp ML3. All I can say now is, at least at 50 yds., anything I point it at will be hit there. After corrections, I put an entire 30-rd. magazine into the head into a 4 inch area. This was just pointing the dot in the vicinity of the center of the head (B-27 target). I was satisfied. I wonder what I could have done if I had taken time to really aim.

Since picking up the SSR-85C-2 a couple of weeks ago, I have ordered 6 PROMAG waffle mags (just came in today), an UltiMAK ACR2 AK Modular Forend Rail Mounting System and UltiMAK AK-47 Optics Mount (style 2)
with side gas ports, Tapco SAW pistol grip, Tapco standard vertical grip, ERGO Sling Swivel & Mount, and a Kobra EKP-8-15 optic. I am still in the shopping phase for a new stock for it. I am much closer to taking some pictures. As soon as everything is mounted, I will share it with you.

The SSR-85C-2 has begun its transformation. Today, I installed the new UltiMAK Optic Rail (replacement gas tube), the UltiMAK Rail Forend, ACE LTD. Skeleton folding stock, PROMAG vertical grip, TAPCO SAW grip, and ERGO rail mount sling adapter. I have to drill and tap the folding stock mount to mount the sling swivel. Hopefully tomorrow, the Kobra EFP-8-15 optic will be here. I will try and post new pictures this weekend or the first of next week.
P.S.
The black plastic stock was a PITA to get off. I had to literally destroy the stock.

I have bought accessories from them, but never a firearm. As far as the experiences I have had, they have been really good to deal with. You may want to give them a call in regard to a firearm purchase. I am sure that they will have to have FFL information in order for you to purchase. You need to have someone lined up to handle the transfer.
