View Full Version : Rem. 127 +P+ 9mm tested
Just picked up my G17 this morning and off to the range I went. Of course, no FTF or FTE's at all!!! Shot the above round into wet phone books (poor man's ballistic geletin!) and this round did great! Sweet mushrooming! Shot straight on too! Will try to get a pic on soon.

Never heard of or seen a "Remington" 127gr. +P+.Is it new?
TJS- Tell me about the phone books.
If I understand correctly, you soak 'em in water first. How long? How many phone books do you use? A couple back to back? More? Thanks.
so sorry, been sick and havent' posted the pics yet. I use about 1.5 feet of phone books. Best thing to do is put a couple together and wrap them together with duck tape. Line them all up and soak them down with water. The ones I used were out in the rain for a while and that helped. To make it even more interesting: Take a few milk jugs, fill with water and line them up in front of the phone books. The water slows the bullet down and the phone books "catch" the bullet. Then put a t shirt in front of the books, etc, etc. Hey, at least it makes the range more interesting than just shooting at a bullseye! By the way, I love the Ranger 127 +P+ SXT 9mm ammo!
BTW: Sorry about calling it Remington..it's Winchester!!:animlol:
I think that REMINGTON ia 124 grains...
