View Full Version : Pearce +2 extension for G30
Greetings.
I was wondering if anyone here has tried the Pearce +2 grip extension on their G30s?
I am interested in a more comfortable grip on my G30, but am also curious about the +2 rounds. However, not sure about feeding reliability.
Thanks for any feedback you can provide.

I did not think Pearce made a +2 extenter for the 9 or 10 round magazines for the Glock 30. They do make one for the Glock 21 magazine. I could be wrong on this. Where did you find an +2 extender for the Glock 30?

I posted pictures of my three magazine configurations for the glock 30 here. The factory 9 round magazine is more concealable. In my opinon, the pearce grip extender on the 10 round magazine allows the little finger to grip the magazine much more comfortably than the stock 10 round magazine base.

I found the Pearce + 2 at Lonewolf - see link below

I am looking for feedback regarding this product - A comfortable extension and +2 rounds sounds great. But I am concerned about reliability.
I guess for the cost, I will go ahead and order it and just try it.
Will post my experience here.
Please disregard my earlier posts on this +2 extension.
I checked the Lonewolf site and this extension is only for G20 and G21 mags.

What is the stock # of the one that fits the glock 30?

IMO, the 9 and 10 round magazines are used as the glock 30 is a compact 45. You can use the magazine for the glock 21 with a sleeve which holds 13 rounds.(you will basically have a glock 21 with a shorter slide/barrel/etc.) Below is a pearce grip entention on a 10 round magazine. If you want the most comfort/grip for all fingers this is a good way to go. The glock 30 are usually very comfortable to shoot with the 9 or 10 round magazines.

Went to a local gun shop ( Shooters Supply in Loveland Ohio). They had the Pearce on hand. Comparing them to the stock g30 magazine bases, they appeared to only add checkering, and a slight more flare outward on the protruding lip at the forward, very bottom of the base plate. The Scherer on the other hand did add the extra room I was looking for. I have large fat hands, and with the factory base I reall had to cramp my pinky onto the mag base. The Scherer worked out exactly as I had hoped.
Another not worth considering is the pearce are a better cosmetic fit. They are a more fluent continuation of the finger grooves on the pistol, and the duller black coloring is a closer match to the Glock than are the Scherer. I was less concerned about matching colors than getting the needed room, which the Scherer gave. Hope this helps.
As mentioned by another poster, if added rounds are needed in the magazine, just get a 21 mag and get the magazine sleeves. They add another fingergroove to the bottom of the gun grip, but they are ten bucks for the sleeve. I think I would rather have the ten bucks, but thats just my tight thoughts on that!
Jbremount:
The part number at Lonewolf is PG-G45P2 but it says that it is only for G20 and G21 mags.
