I guess I will ask here since nobody answered it in the carry section..................I wear shorts a LOT with out a belt and was wondering what the best holsters were (from your experiences) for a G39??????
I cant lie, I am a fat * * * * * and dont EVER tuck my shirt in but I also very rarely wear jeans till winter anyway and didnt know if there was a descent holster other than that Thunderwear type thing. If the Thunderwear "type" holster is descent, then I guess I could try it, I am just a little worried about shootin off Stanley.
The answer is simple. If you plan to carry a pistol, learn to wear a belt. When I pocket carry my G26 I still wear a belt to keep my pants/shorts from sagging under the added weight of a loaded pistol.

yup, i would definately go the belt route as well.
make sure you buy a proper belt or you'll have printing issues no matter how kick tail the holster is. your back will also thank you.
also, have you tried a slide style holster? it's really a good one to start with as you can position the rig in many different places along your belt to find a spot thats tolerable. a fbi butt forward cant will help out as well.

KG,
have you ever tried a belly band? around the dwelling, it's generally how i carry what ever pistol i fancy at the moment for home defense. it works perfect as a bedside setup as i generally don't wear a belt to bed...
depending on what brand you purchase, they usually have at least a couple of pockets for spare mags, lights, phone, etc. one drawback is that they require 2 hands to reholster weapon (and watch not to sweep your digits as well...).

I have a C-TAC & a Kramer, have tried the C-TAC, haven't used the Kramer yet. Being in a communist state I have to go to PA b4 I can carry. C-TAC is comfortable.
Any holster that fits a G30 will also work for your 39. Hope that helps open up the choices.

I ordered an iwb from milt sparks but waiting 5 months sucks the big one.
I'm 6'1", 315. My waist is 44". I like long windy walks, and italian food...
Oops, sorry wrong forum.
Seriously, wear a belt. I was able to get a nice leather belt (custom) made from Galco that works nicely and I also (custom) ordered a few Instructor belts from Wilderness. All are comfortable and will support my G37 or G38 nicely and without looking like I'm wearing a colostomy bag... They didn't cost a fortune, either.
When no one can see the belt, I actually prefer the Wilderness Instructor because it is adjustable. The Galco looks nice with most clothing (as do their holsters).
Good luck, but wear a belt.
ETA: Holsters are: CTAC, Galco Avenger, and Galco FX.
