Are these brands okay to shoot through my new AK (Wasr-10)? It's the cheapest I could find for $3.95/box fo 20. Can anyone recommend cheaper bulk ammo from somewhere?

They will work fine.Talk to your gun shop guy about buying a case next time he orders for his shop or go to gun shows/internet ammo sales for bulk buys.

Shoot the cheapest stuff you can find for general plinking/ blasting in your WASR-10. It gobbles up the steel case stuff like candy.

You will probably find that Bear ammo is preferable to Wolf, esspecially if you are trying to get some good accuracy.

Brown bear softpoint works great in my wasr.
Brown bear is real good you can use it for "SHTF" type of stuff !!!
Wolf sucks , and who the hell do they think they are buy charging so much for more for their ammo !!!
Wolf ammo is crap !!! Even shooting it out of an ak !!!
Go to academy sports !!! monarch ammo is the same exact ammo as brown bear !!! And at $2.86 a box of 20 , you can't beat it !!!

Awesome, thanks guys. I think I will get some brown bear, it seems to be cheaper than wolf. Have you guys had any problems with those websites you listed to buy ammo from?
btw is there a real difference between non-corrosive ammo and those that are not listed that way? I can get a really good deal on some wolf-military classic ammo, but it doesn't say non-corrosive. Any problems with this ammo?
I've never had a problem ordering ammo online.
The Wolf MC is new production and is non corrosive. Corrosive ammo (actually corrosive primers) is fine as long as you clean your rifle after shooting. It can be as simple as spraying some Windex on the bolt head and down the pipe.
Most comm-bloc military surplus is corrosive.

Look for my post in this forum about Wolf MC. It is made FOR Wolf in Ulyanovsk. More accurate than regular Black Box Wolf, non-corrosive, loaded hotter, cheaper than BB Wolf, and uses a better bullet.
Brown Bear is good too. More accuarate than BB Wolf. My Vepr likes both Brown Bear and Wolf MC. Slightly different point of impact, but groups are tight.
