View Full Version : Reviews on Gemtech Trinity
Has anybody out there in Free Fire Zone had any experience with the Gemtech Trinity, specifically on a G26 or other Browning style action? I shot the AWC Jupiter Eye and Abraxes, but neither functioned reliably. I shot an older Gemtech Vortex w/LID and it cycled great. I am ready to buy, but wanted some user feedback first.

Contact Gemtech but I would be suprised if the Trinity would cycle a Glock 26. Look at the AAC Evolution shorter version. It was designed for the 26, look on silencertests.com for dealer named bookhound, he has these in stock.

As far as I know, the trinity cycles them. Post technical questions like this on subguns.com.

Yes I own the Gemtech Trinity as well as a G26 with a factory G19 threaded barrel. The Trinity is a very loud can. It is with out a doubt the worst can on Gemtech’s current line up. It does seem to function fine on the G26 and my G17 however.
I have also shot the AAC Evolution 9mm as well as the SWR Trident on the G26. Both of these functioned fine also.
The Trinity’s LID is very violent causing the gun to jerk in your hand, and kick much more than the un-suppressed gun. The SWR Trident and AAC Evolution however soften the recoil and stress on the gun, and are much more pleasant to shoot, as well as twice as quiet at a minimum.
I am not here to bash Gemtech. They are a great company with great products and excellent people working for them. I own 3 suppressors, all of them Gemtechs. This is the worst can that they make and doesn’t hold a match to the competition.
If I were you I would pick up the SWR Trident if you want to use it on a SMG and pistol, or the Evolution 9 if you want to use it on a pistol only. The Evolution 9 is a very small can; much smaller than the SWR, and an inch or so shorter than the Evolution 9. In addition to this it is with out a doubt the quietest 9mm can out there.

I dont think your providing a fair review IMO. The poster will benefit by doing more research. I've heard completely opposite accounts of the performance of the Trinity by other users.

What was un-fair about my review? I don’t like the results either. I have over $800 invested in this suppressor and still have to wear hearing protection.
For the same price I could have picked up a suppressor that was half as loud completely dry, as well as slightly smaller (Evolution 9mm).
As I said I like Gemtech. I own three suppressors; all of them Gemtechs. Vortex 2, Trinity, and a Viper in transfer for my MAC10/9mm. I think the Trinity is a terrible suppressor in an otherwise fine line of offerings.
Compared to other offerings from the myriad of other lesser known suppressor manufacturers the Trinity might compare well. However the Evolution 9 is so unbelievably phenomenal that it 100% blows every thing else out of the water for slightly more money.
Respectfully, Dan

What do you consider slight? 100-200$ may not be cosher to some. This also depends on what type of actual DB reduction were talking about for that 100-200$.
I hope the poster posts on subguns.com and obtains more than one or two opinions on it.
I also have three GT cans. TPRS,M496D and Vortex2. I have not, however heard first-hand the Trinity system however usually when I hear someone complain about a can, they are comparing it to units that cost a lot more, and are overly sensitive to the DB reduction you get.

Check out Silencertests.com
Most of the reviews on the Trinity say it is pretty loud.
Having said that I have not heard it myself, and do like Gem-tech.

There's a reason for that test result. The owner of the website is biased towards a specific brand of can, and its NOT gemtech.
I would never suggest to anyone to use those test results to make a purchase.

Oh dear god. You are telling people that own a Trinity that they don't know what they are talking about, yet you admit that you have never heard one. If you don't know about the subject STFU, or at least don't bash people who actually own the can, and as such know infinitely more about the subject than you do.
I have heard the Trinity, and it is Loud when dry. It sounds much better wet, though. My advise are if you want the best Pistol can get the Evo-9, if you want almost as good of performance, yet want the versatility of multiple mounts, look at the SWR Trident.
I personally have two Gemtech cans, and love them. However, I will not buy a Trinity.

Hmm Maybe you should actually learn about things that you are posting about. Robert Silvers, Licenced HIS silencer Designs to AAC, he made no Secret of this, but he stopped doing independent testing BEFORE he entered into a Relationship with AAC. Several of the Tests were performed with Witnesses, including Al Paulson.
There is more knowledge about Silencers/Suppressors on Silencertests.com than on any other board. Heck Roberts Partner and Friend Matt works for SWR.
Oh Good LORD you are biased against Gemtech.
I dont care if the freaking POPE witnessed it.
My _ADVICE_ is for people to do their own research and not listen to a few posts on a forum pointing to "tests" done by people with an agenda and other motives.
I've heard plenty of people complain JUST like this against other can's, heard them myself and realized they are just fine considering the TOTALITY of the circumstances. You are not a can expert either. Let people make their own choices with their own ears and they will benefit. I haven't bashed SQUAT. If you are part of the Silvers fan club, then good for you, I could care less, but that doesnt mean everyone should take what he says as gospel just-because.

Considering all of my Cans are Gem-Tech...
You really need to try talking with the part of your body that does not have your legs attached to it.

That entire site is based on agenda. There is some good info there, but always remember it is "The Internet".

Name me one sight that is not Biased.
Subgun - Owned by the Bowser who makes cans.
GlockTalk - Gee ask what the best handgun is.
Etc.
Heck for that matter tell me who does not have an Agenda or Bias.
The reality is you need to take everything with a Grain of salt.
