Saw a model "9000" S or something like that but can't for the life of me find any info about it. My Beretta catalogs don't make mention of it. It's a 9mm I believe and was going for $350. Looks like a compact style.
Can anyone tell me about this model? Good price? Good rep? What's the low down? The 411? The skinny?
Gracias amigos!
I had the one in .40S&W and had all kinds of feeding issues with it. I traded it in after a while. I would think the 9mm would have better reliabilty due to the shape of the 9mm round vs the shape of the .40S&W round. The safety was hard as heck to flip off and required two hand to flip on almost. They are going for $349 in the Houston area. Maybe I just had a bad example.
Garbage guns, avoid at all costs. (Not kidding)

Wow! Thanks for the heads up on this dog. And here I thought Beretta was pretty good. Guess the low price should have been a tip off. It's a shame because I like the grip alot and it just seems like a natural.
Thanks for helping me avoid this mistake though.

WoW! Imagine that! Have you asked on other forums or just baseing your decision on thoes two? All guns are crap guns. There I've saved you from spending your money on anything. It doesn't really matter what gun you want to mention,I know for a fact they are crap guns.Yes,I've owned every gun known to man.All are crap guns.
Hey I know maybe since the 9000 is not in this years catalog, the price is lower.Oh maybe since it never cost very much in the first place, they price is lower than a,lets say a metal 92FS.I've owned 2 9000's.40 and 9.Both shot very reliably(100% as a matter of fact)and I happen to not own them now is only because the first was one of the very first run 40's and they haddn't invented the flip down pinkey finger mag bottom. The second was a 9mm and it too was 100% reliable. The grip is just too small for my big Beretta-sized hands.
But you might ask on a forum with bit more knowledge and experience in Beretta's.Like say berettaforum.net?????
Never mind you've already decided it's a dog.Sorry to waste your time. :wavey:

Wow! theberettaman, you're a big twat! Yes, I said the "T" word. Um, I posted here in glocktalk because this is the biggest forum I know of and has a huge subscriber list. Where should I have asked? Oh, a "true believer" forum where I'll get biased responses! Got it!
And you aren't sorry you've wasted my time, liar. Get back in your car and go back to road raging on the highway or go down to the senior center and rant away with all the other old bags you hoochie sock sniffer!

I have one in .40 that's never givin me a single problem. I'd say it has about 1500 rounds through it. I like it's ergonomics.

Ouch! A twat huh? And now we're reduced to name calling. The first sign of a limited intellect.Unbelievably there are many folks on the beretta forum who dislike the 9000 for various reasons,grip,weight,ergonomics,trigger,ect.. but at least they don't abritrarily dissmiss it because some folks didn't find it to their likeing.

I intended to post until I read this. Too irrational and immature to own or use a firearm. I hope the mods throw you off GT, junior.
