The P7M8's heat shield has never done a thing for me, since the place where my trigger finger touches the frame is OVER the heat shield. Also, I've fired PSP's that don't have heat shields with no problem.
Has anyone ever taken the heat shield off their P7? If so, how? I'm curious as to how it would look.
well here is a pic of one without the heatshiled... though it is hardchromed

On my PSP the entire trigger guard gets hot after a while, so even if it had a heat shield I think it would offer only a minor benefit.

Don't ever fire a PSP here in Arizona during a 115 degree day. After 2 magazines, it is far too hot to hold, much less shoot. Gloves don't help either.
For me, it is a winter only pistol.
