Although never have shot anything except paper, I don't have any proof it's any better than the other brands. Otis Driftwood 10-09-2006, 12:11 Originally posted by DonGlock26 Common stuff? I'm a newbie to this whole 357 SIG stuff.... :) ponykilr 10-09-2006, 15:08 check cheaper than dirt, they carry a lot of ammo. Los Suenos 10-09-2006, 19:30 www.miragetechnologies.net Can't beat $15/box of 50 They have great prices on Speer Lawman for practice too. They are also extremely accurate. Out of a standard G31 with a 4.5" bbl, you can expect a 125 grainer to crank out at 1525 fps for a muzzle energy of 645 ft./lbs. Not too shabby! Try getting that muzzle energy out of a .40! Personally, I'm a 10mm man myself since it offers speed AND bullet weight, but I think the .357 SIG is nothing to sneeze at. I also enjoy shooting the .357 SIG much more than .40 S&W. It just feels much better to me. SDGlock23 10-13-2006, 00:30 Photocop, you can get that kind of muzzle energy out of a .40! Photocop 10-13-2006, 02:03 SDGlock23: Well some adventurous handloaders might be able to, but I have yet to see any commerically available ammunition capable of those numbers. If you know of some manufacturer that produces .40 S&W with that kind of snap, let me know 'cause I'll buy some. Cheers! ~Mike DRT 10-15-2006, 08:01 Originally posted by Photocop . Well, you can get this .40 load from DT The 135gr Nosler JHP @ 1420fps 605 ft/lbs from a 4.5"bbl. The nice thing about a .40 is you CAN also go heavy if you want a deeper penetrating round for the Woods... The 200gr Controlled Exp. JHP @ 1100fps 538 ft/lbs from a 4.5"bbl.
