Picked up a like new Norinco SKS last week and took it out for sight-in and to check operational reliability.
The front sight had to be raised three turns [ it was shooting high ], the windage was dead on at 100 yds. Took 10 rds to confidently get right on the mark.
The 18x18" gong at 300 yrds was checked by moving the elevator control to the appropriate setting and went 30 for 30 on the gong from the bench.
Slung standing for another 10 rds at the gong produced 7 solid hits with one a little high, the other two just under it.
50 rds through her, she shoots great, no bobbles, loads the 10 rd strippers easily. There was no perception of felt recoil.
I know they have another Norinco SKS just like it at the shop, I'm picking it up in the morning as a spare shooter, saving the Arsenal milled AK from having to be used.
