g17 brass to forehead

ok i just sold my 17 to a buddy. the 17 shot nice but the brass went to the rear more than the right, never to the left though. ive had brass in the forehead even(i have been acused of limpwristing). so my buddy now will own the gun and i would like to tell him what to change and with what, if he too has problems.
obviously i am shooting WWB which is not the most powerful but its good for a starter pistol for him.
if the recoil spring should be replaced( dont know what one is in it, im not the original owner)
would it need a 15 or a 13# or? and where can i get a spring from?

15 lb. Wolff spring worked for me. Midway has Wolff, Lone Wolf had Wolff and ISMI flat springs last I checked.

You could probably get away with 14 lb. with just WWB, but that's probably too light to function with defense loads.

ill have to look else where for a spring called Midway to order ammo for the AR-15 today wanted 2000 rounds guy told me no.
we dont ship ammo to Illinois. id dont live any where near chicago where they have some kind of local ban, he said it doesnt matter its illinois. so im going to place my order with someone else then. i just got 2000 rounds from Kyimports,com about 2 months ago. someone told me its just midway been like that for years. Oh well.
