Is the HK factory the only place to send your gun for the LEM conversion? Has anyone had this done? What was the cost and turn-around time? Thanks.
HK will do it for around $125 + shipping. It involves about $60 worth of parts.
I would be VERY selective about who I allowed to do it, aside from HK.
Interesting fact; all LEM-equipped USPs in this country are "converted" here. They arrive from Germany as V1s, V3s, etc. HK/USA converts selected pistols on the basis of orders for LEM-equipped guns.

Thanks for the info. I'll give them a call.

They actually put HEAVIER springs in the LEM guns when they convert them. When you ask for the "light LEM" 4.5 pound trigger pull, they are taking the heavier springs back OUT, and putting original V1 etc. springs back into the gun. Sounds like a backwards way to do it, but no one asked me! :animlol:
