As long as I have figured out how to attach photos, I figured I would share a few more from Alaska....

As pretty as Alaska is in the summer months, I think it looks even better in the winter. A snowmachine provides a great way to get out into some pretty country. That being said, people die every year on snowmobiling trips in Alaska. Many places we ride often get over 10 feet of snow per year, and avalanches are a common occurrence.

To be safe, we watch the weather like hawks, and we always ride in groups of 3-6 people. Each of us also carry our own GPS, saftey equipment, first aid kits, food, and survival tools. A couple of friends also carry avalanche beacons.

Here's a shot of the sunrise colors on Denali (Mt. McKinley).

Here are a couple more shots that use Denali as the background.

Riding in the mountains offers some deep snow and challenging riding, but the scenery is second to none!

I am a fairly new rider, but I am improving quickly. I have a few friends that are showing my the ropes, and they are fun to watch. This is a buddy of mine during one of the first trips with his new sled.

You must want some company up there. All these pictures are making me want to pack up and head to Alaska.

Another bad week at work and I'm about ready to just pack up and leave.
