I have the Yugoslavian underfolder I am very pleased with it.It was my first AK.There isnt much to put your cheek on,but I have seen guys that wrap some nylon cord around that part of the stock for a little more cushion. All in all it doest affect my shooting ,but the bare metal on your face gets annoying though.
thanks this will be my firstak, can i go wrong with any underfolder?

I have a Vector Polish UF.....great gun. They have a 5 year warranty.

I got mine from these guys:

If I had the cash, and "was able" to buy, this is my order:
#1 Pre-ban Chi-com, from $700-$1000
#2 Vector Polish build @$550-$600
#3 Yugo build,seen a few Century builds(they look good)@$450.
Wish you luck on your choice.
The poor peasents like myself in NY can only have #1,but
they can be found in the $800 range. There will be no more
Chi-coms imported, but we have TONS of kits to build the others.
Good luck.

I recently puchase the polish underfolder from Arms of America for $600 plus frt. Built on a Ewbanks 3rd Generation receiver. It shoots very well. Cheek weld is good because it lowers your head so the iron sights line up very well.
I was looking at both the fixed and folding stock Yugo AK's this weekend at Knob Creek. My question is do all folding stock AK's have that little bit of rock with the stock extended? I found one with almost no play but you still felt the stock move when you aligned your sights. Maybe I am expecting too much out of these rifles. On the other hand the longer length of the Yugo fixed stock was pretty nice.

If by Yugo you mean WASR.....yes you are expecting to much. Great guns, I really like mine but they are not top-tier.....but they function great.
Honestly I think any folding stock of any kind will have some movement.....if not at purchase probably shortly after its first outing.
