Tomcat owners... can someone do a test for me?
When dry firing, if I ease the trigger forward slowly, it doesn't always reset without a little bump forward. This only happens when dry firing in double action and slowly releasing the trigger.
I've never had a problem while shooting, but I was just checking to see if this is a quirk of the pistol or a possible problem.
Thanks.
Doesn't happen on mine.
You know the Tomcat is one of those pistols where it's best to use a snap-cap for dry firing, right?

I just tried that on my tomcat, it goes forward with no worries. Again, i dont dry fire it. I did ONCE, oddly enough i was reading the manual as i did it. Then promptly stopped.
Do you guys carry it daily>? If so what ammo do you use?
Thanks

Not daily, but frequently enough when I can't carry my normal rig. Or when I'm just going quickly to the store or something, where putting the Tomcat in my pocket is faster than holstering up.
I use Cor-Bon 60gr. JHP's or Winchester Silvertips. Both great.

During the summer my Tomcat is my best carry buddy. I can throw it in my back pocket and it looks like I have a wallet.
I feed it 71g. S+B FMJ. You probably won't build up enough velocity for JHP expansion, so I go for the penetration FMJ can provide.
BTW, I LOVE my little Tomcat.
