Looks like it's a bad idea to beat Rob Leatham by less than 1% in the Limited Nationals! It wasn't a blowout, but the margin of victory was significantly larger!

Note that at least two of our GlockTalk buddies finished in the top 25 (Flexmoney & Young Master Moneypenny) and that the lovely Miss J-Go was 44th overall and high lady.

Two of my buddies in real life were also in the top 25 (Tony Hawkins 14th and David Elderton 24th).

Glad to see Julie Goloski got top female. But, sadly it was with a S&W and not a Glock.

Did Angus shoot a CZ and if so, what model? Atta boy for Dave and I'm impressed at how tight #2-#4 appeared (from a layman's perspective).

Just curious, what does Rob Leatham shoot in production? I'm guessing some sort of XD, right?

Seems that I recall him shooting an XD Tac.

the one to watch is Dan Horner.. don't think he's done to much match shooting since he stepped into the army.. and places in 11th.. he's a nice young man and a heck of a shooter..

congratulations to all of them..

Jeff.

#4 - Bob who?!?!

Angus and Matt shot SP-01s (www.czforum.com)

I can't believe Phil finished as low as 7th. He should have won. He won the steel challenge. He has beaten Sevigny in IDPA nationals using a glock (a 17 no less) and was ahead of Leatham after the first few days of the last World Shoot (but that is another story).

I heard Horner switched to a glock. He used to shoot a CZ copy for steel (the tanfoglio version of the CZ).

Not sure what happened to Phil - I do know he had some issues with his gun on a few stages - In fact, I have the super squad on video from stage 18 - "30th Anniversary" and Phil had a malfunction and a standing reload on that stage. Todd Jarret also had some gun problems as well with his Para LDA -

Phil had a bunch of gun problems. He finally changed the ejector on the next to last stage of the match.

Daniel is doing nothing but shooting now that he is a member of the AMU. He was shooting an M&P at Nationals.

Thanks Tim!

Horner has been shooting really well; dry fire and years of competition shooting are paying off for him.

Fantastic win for the M&P. Looks like S&W has come up with something really good (and this is from a guy who has really criticized the S&W Smegma -er, "Sigma" which was a terrible gun IMHO). I think Julie won using an M&P as well. The rental M&P (though in .40) I tried was very very good even though it was really dirty. Very accurate and the same size as my Steyr M-40.

Sorry to hear that Phil's 17 let him down. If I remember, that old 17 he shoots is nothing special and probably had its original extractor and spring. I know that "production is production" - and Phil would be the first to agree with the idea that its the shooter and not the gun - but its a real shame that a extractor or spring cost him a bunch at the Nationals. I wonder how he would have finished with a better tuned/reliable G-34 and the usual Atlanta Arms new production 147 minor loads?

Rino - I knew that Vogel was the dark horse going into the natz this year. Heard about his performance at area matches. Still, he is the newest top contender in Production. Great shooting Bob Vogel! Looks like you have arrived and we will be on the lookout for your name in 2007.
