On the Gulf 10-21-2006, 08:49 Samples have been submitted to BATF for importation clearance, but HK is getting the run around, so I have been told. uncut 10-21-2006, 20:52 The P30 has been approved for German "police work"..... I would be surprised if the P30 would not make BATF. The P2000 and Walther's P99 made it so I have no doubt the P30 will. But for up to date news on this I would reask the question at HKpro.com Tecumseh 10-23-2006, 09:28 According to the rumors at HKPro.com it is currently scheduled for importation. The ATF is giving HK trouble over it. It is believed to be scheduled for release some time next year. I am currently awaiting one in .40 with a standard LEM trigger and some night sights. Anyone have any idea what the magazine capacity will be? uncut 10-23-2006, 09:35 All at this time that is known....... 15 rounds for the 9mm P30 you will not see anything else till it will be exported since the German gov. don't use .357 or .40 and I doubt it be made in .45 I am glad I did not get a P2000 since I think the P30 will be much nicer to handle and currently I have the P7 bug anyways. RmRod 10-23-2006, 09:48 well that seems to be good news! I too thought about a P2000, then I saw the pics of the new P3000 and I was like  I will own one for sure, once they arrive!! sneaky 02-02-2007, 13:00 Hi I was able to test the P30 yesterday by accident. The weapon is very nice although the one I used had a too large grip ( the interchangeable backs you can fit) so I was unable to reach the mag release. The magazine is quite difficult to fill compared to the Glock mags (Im a G19 user). The weight balance and everything about the P30 felt excellent. Its fully ampidextrous and the slide lock lever does not detach for striping and Trit' sights come standard. Apologies if my post is short in detail, I do not know much about H&K's handguns, but the P30 is very impressive, even though I cannot compare with other H&K models. crowkiller 02-03-2007, 07:11 Originally posted by sneaky Hi I was able to test the P30 yesterday by accident. If you dont mind me asking. How did you get to test one? By accident? sneaky 02-03-2007, 07:28 We were carrying out some Ballistics tests and one of the Guys had one, this was with Law Enforcement in Europe. givo08 02-06-2007, 08:37 Is the P30 supposed to be a full sized gun similar to a full size USP? It seems like it must be with 15 rounds of 9mm. That would distinguish it from the P2000 and P2000sk which are compact and sub compact. That would distinguish it from the P2000 and P2000sk which are compact and sub compact. Hence my theory that should have called it the P2000FS (FS = Full Size). And they should have kept the P2000 style grips. sneaky 02-09-2007, 12:12 Mag is 15+1 I got to test again and managed to get a quick photo, this weapon is fantastic and the very easy to handle, accurate and very smooth. I had a little problem adjusting to the sights, but I will definatley order one in the near future. Some pics for you guys, sorry I cant be more specific becuase i dont know too much about HK pistols. sneaky 02-09-2007, 12:17 oops .......... Heres the pic Todesengel 02-24-2007, 19:31 sign me up for one! BrokenArrow 02-26-2007, 13:58 It's much smaller than the USP9, just slightly bigger than the P2000; a tad longer bbl, and 2 more rounds in the mag (w 9mm). TLHelmer 02-26-2007, 14:08 beautiful gun, but I am not sure I see much of a difference between the P-2000 and the P-30. That was nice of you to post the pics for us! rauchman 03-20-2007, 16:14 I WANT ONE!!!! I have a USP45F that would be the very last gun I would get rid of. It may have competition. It looks like this series is a further refinement of the USP...standarized rail, interchangable backstraps, etc. There is a picture of the P30L on HKPRO.com that I salivate over. In the picture, it reminds me somewhat of the Steyr GB. I have a G19 also that I really like as well, but the HK:hearts:  It will be intersting to see if Glock starts incorporating things like the interchangeable backstrap on the Gen4 pistols. Also doing so would of likely made importation easier for HK. Lifer 03-21-2007, 12:21 There's an HK add for the P30 in the most recent issue of Combat Handuns. I just got my subscription issue yesterday. It's the first ad that I have noticed. Lifer:harley: Fireman1291 03-22-2007, 11:32 im lucky as their office is within 30min of my home! Ill buy one when the gun is available. http://www.onpointsupply.com/cart.php?target=product&product_id=55417&category_id=2232 vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
