I'm trying to install new ameriglo combat sights on my G17. Are the rear sights suppose to be that tight to the slide dovetail. I've read others filing a bit the rear sights to make it work with the slide dovetail. I didn't filed mine and just hammered it in. Could I have damaged the slide by doing that?
