Hey guys,
I've had a G19 and G17 for some time now, and run many K of rounds down the tubes through many classes and so on. When I first bought these pistols I put new Trijicon sights on the front post only.
They have always shot high. I read somewhere a long tmie ago that you were supposed to lollipop the sight picture, so that's what I've always done. From 25 yards on in I can get my hits fairly quickly. Lately I've been toying around shooting at longer ranges. And it seems that the farther out I go, the more exaggerated the distance between where the front sight is lined up and where I want the bullet to go becomes. I have to hold fairly low at long ranges and at even not so long ranges like 50 yards.
This is irritating because I don't really have to hold over with my 1911 at 50. With my Glock its a guessing game as to how far low I hold my sights. I don't like this at all.
So my question is, how do I get a military style sight picture with my Glocks, where I aim center of mass to hit center of mass? This lollipop stuff is getting old.
I've found that under stress I revert back to aiming center of mass. This kind of scares me considering how I carry my G19 ever day and I have to aim low to use it.
