View Full Version : Mags same as any others?
Strange New York question:
We are still limited to preban if we want 10+ shot magazines in NY. Since the 357 sig is relatively new chances of finding preban mags are probably zero -- so are there any other glock mags that are interchangeable and function correctly with the 357 sig? Are the lips on a 40S&W mag the same, or are there subtle differences?
Yes, you may use the pre-ban .40s if I understand NY law correctly.
Maybe?
They work.
What I used from 94-04.

I have 4 preban .40 mags for a 23 that work perfectly in my 32.
No pronlem. They're pretty easy to come by as well.
The mags are preban, so theyre legal even if they're a different cal.
ocshooters.com has a photo somewhere of the difference of pre and post ban glock mags. I've seen it here too but I can't find it.
Do some searches here and you shoudl find it.

oh yea, 357 sig was developed in 1994 so I believe there are zero pre ban Glock mags in existance.
I remember at the gun shop I use to go to them showing me a Glock advisory that they didn't recommend the 23 mag in the 32 for LEO usage because of a slight redesign in the followers of the 32. When I first got a 32 I used some of my 23 magazines I had a few CCI lawmen TMJ practice rounds that the tip of the Ojive hit the face of the magazine causing failures to feed. I replaced the 23 followers with 32 follower and the problem went away.
On the other hand when I used a Federal 357 Sig Barrel in my 23, the 23 mags worked fine.
