View Full Version : Rainer Restrikes and Power Pistol
I am new to the .357 Sig and so far love it! You know you are shooting something powerful, not a pip squeak.
Does anyone use Rainer Restrike 124 grn. Flatpoints and Power Pistol? I will be working up a load using speer cases and win SPP.
Any info will be appreciated. Thanks Jason
PowerPistol is a popular powder and my 357sig nut friend is loading them up real hot to get 1500fps. But the Rainers do not hold up to that speed. Try using Speer 380 bullets (80 or 90g) for high speed.........

My practice load is very close to what you describe, the main difference being that most of my brass is Winchester.
I use the load Alliant lists, or .1 grain less most of the time. The Rainier bullets seem to hold up to this kind of treatment, though I have seen them give problems in other cartridges.
SD is very small with this load. It does produce a harsh muzzle blast and flash. Shoots right to point of aim, and is reasonably accurate. Pretty good for a practice round.
