Range Tested G30 & G36

I went to the local range today to test fire a Glock 30 & 36 before
my purchase on Friday.

The G 36 definitely has more recoil, but not unmanageable.
The G 30 was softer to shoot. but the grip was just to fat.

I shot 50 rounds out of each pistol (230 grn WWB) at thirty feet.
The first two mags of each pistol printed at two & three o'clock(I am a lefty) what is causing this?
The remainder of the ammo shot center mass "Ten Ring"& outside at
three o'clock.

Us southpaws hit at 2 o'clock when we're pushing (Anticipating Recoil) and hit at 3 o'clock when we use too little trigger finger.

Hey Jr,

You will get used to the thicker grip of the Glock 30 the more you shoot it.

I didn't find the 36 any noticeably slimmer in the hand or in the waistband, so I stuck wtih my 30.

Especially after once being in a situation where all 21 carried rounds would have been expended in a hurry, and another 10-20 would have been nice to have, if not a platoon of the 101st Airborne.

I started with the 36 and still have it.. definitely a keeper. Easy to carry, reliable, makes big holes. I bought it for compatibility with the holsters I already have for my G19/23/32/26 etc, most of which (the holsters) are collecting dust.

So since I'm waiting to hear back from SIG about my brand new, defective P239.. I figured I'd try another Glock. I always find myself coming back..

Picked up a G30 and I was surprised at how little difference in feel there was to the G19. I really expected the grip to be just sooooo fat and awkward. Not the case, at least for me. Can't wait to get out and shoot it!

The Glock 30 has a double recoil spring that helps with the recoil since the slide is shorter than the 21. The 30 recoils softer than the 36.

IMO, the Glock 30 is easy to carry concealed with the 9 round magazine as it does not dig into your sides.
