View Full Version : Flags of Our Fathers...saw it/seen it?

Went tonight with the girlfriend. Had to explain what a Corpsman was, where Iwo Jima was, what War it was, and who the flag raisers were.

I read the book when it came out & was impressed.
The movie left a lot unanswered & for someone who hasn't read the book, or is familiar with Marine Corps history it can be pretty boring.

Yes, I plan on watching it. However not with my wife or any other person without a Marine Corps tattoo. And for those various reasons you listed above. I'm there to watch a movie not give a damn disertation on Iwo Jima and Mt. Surbachi.

I did not mean to imply that I was inconvienced by explaining USMC history to my girlfriend. I was honored to.

She is interested & I appreciate that.
